PALS Pet of the Week – Brodie

Meet Brodie, our PALS Pet of the Week!

Brodie is an approximately 1 ½ year old, neutered male, Akita/Shepherd mix, and he weighs approximately 65 lbs. When PALS rescued this handsome dog in early August, he was a little fearful, and unsure around other dogs, but a very friendly dog with our volunteers once they’d gained his trust. To help him gain confidence, PALS enrolled him in a basic obedience class at Sycamore Lane Kennels, and what a difference that has made! Brodie will be graduating his 6 week obedience course this week and he’s now a much more confident dog who is now comfortable meeting new dogs and new people! Brodie is a fairly mellow, but active dog, that loves to interact with people. Brodie loves to run, and will play fetch, but he seems to enjoy having someone actively engaging him in playtime the most. Brodie will need to go to an active family, with no young children, that has experience handling and caring for large breed dogs. He will also need a family that can provide him with the attention, and daily activity level, that he needs to thrive. If this handsome young dog sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please come in and meet him!
