Meet Heidi, our PALS Pet of the Week!
Heidi is an approximately 11 month old, spayed female, Dachshund mix. This sweet little girl was brought into the shelter last September, when she was just 5 months old, after having been struck by a vehicle; with multiple fractures in her pelvis, and a severely fractured leg, Heidi was in a tremendous amount of pain. PALS rescued her immediately, and arranged for the surgery to repair her severely fractured pelvis and leg. The surgery was a success, and after several months of rehabilitation and care from one of our amazing fosters, Heidi was back on all four paws and running around without a care in the world. Heidi can be a little shy when she meets new people, or when she’s in an unfamiliar environment, but with a little encouragement and love she warms up and shows her playful side. Heidi enjoys chasing after tiny tennis balls, and romping around the yard, but what she really loves is being near people where she can soak up their love and attention. If Heidi sounds like the perfect dog for you, and you’re interested in meeting her, please call PALS to make arrangements for a meet-and-greet as Heidi is currently in a foster home.
