PALS Pet of the Week – Wilton

PALS Pet of the Week - Wilton .5 II

Meet Wilton, our PALS Pet of the Week!

Wilton is an approximately 4 year old, male, Rottweiler; Wilton weighs approximately 74lbs. When you picture lap dogs, Wilton probably isn’t what comes to mind, but if he had his way that’s exactly what he’d be! This handsome boy has been at the shelter for just over a week now, and he’s quickly become a volunteer favorite for his happy and loveable personality. Wilton loves to be around people, even when he gets a chance to go out and play in the dog yard; he’ll go out and sniff around, and then look to see where the volunteers are so that he can be close to them and get lots of love and attention. When he’s in the mood, you can coax him into a quick game of fetch, so long as you give him lots of hugs when he brings the ball back to you! For the most part though, Wilton is a very laid back dog, and he’d prefer to stretch out and relax by your feet, or at your side, where he can be close to you. Wilton walks well on the leash, but we are working with him on his basic obedience commands, and he will need continued obedience training to help him become a model K-9 citizen. If you’re interested in giving this big old teddy bear of a dog the love, and training, he needs, please come down and meet Wilton!
